This is my first official post for the new blog ‘FANTASY ISLAND’ about Lincolnshire’s coastline.
Up to the age of about the age of ten we always went for days out to the seaside. My enduring memories of the seaside are the paraphernalia, the smell of candy floss, beach-balls and the architecture (in those days mainly concrete). This is a 57 year old selfie. It’s been a while but I’m pretty sure this is the exact spot in Mablethorpe where my father took the original. The elephant was bright pink and it was sunny, wasn’t it always!
